Its really very interesting how much variation and versatility Pune's climate can hold within. Yesterday woke up for my usual morning walk and I found the sky a bit overcast with clouds. Soon the first morning rays made a vary beautiful pattern over the sky and I could not resist picking up my camera gear and head to a location to capture this wonderful sight.
Within a split second, the location flashed in my mind: Dive Ghat on the Saswad road. I had been through this road couple of time and must say, the view of Pune city from the top is good to watch. With Kanifnath on one of the hill tops and Pune city in the backdrop, it makes a good combination. If you wish to capture city lights at night,I bet this is the place to be.
Saswad road is something which every Pune citizen knows about it, This is the route wherein every year during monsoon the Palkhi procession follows. I am attaching the Google map for reference.
It took me 15-20 mins from Kharadi to reach the top, thanks to morning traffic which was very thin and could get to the place in no time. In normal traffic conditions, one would easily need to 45 mins from Kharadi to reach this place. Once at the top, i spent 30-40 mins admiring the view and off course the clouds which looked like cotton candies.
View of Pune city, sign of waking up on a lazy weekend.
Over all, a nice morning trip with cool wind blowing through the hair, and you cannot ask for more. This place would be a treat to visit during monsoon.
